The University of Jos (UNIJOS) has officially announced the commencement of admissions for its newly launched Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Programme in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) for the 2024/2025 academic session. This forward-looking programme is designed to equip professionals with critical skills and knowledge to address pressing challenges in global health, sustainability, and environmental management.
In a statement released by the University’s Registrar, Dr. Rejoice James Songden, the WASH programme is targeted at both national and international candidates with backgrounds in science, public health, engineering, and social sciences who are looking to make meaningful contributions in the field of WASH.

Admission Requirements
To qualify for the PGD in WASH, applicants must meet the following academic requirements:

O’ Level: Minimum of five credits including English, Mathematics, and two relevant science subjects.

Bachelor’s Degree: A minimum of a Third-Class degree in relevant disciplines such as Biological Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Public Health, Engineering, and the Humanities.

HND Holders: Candidates must have a minimum of Lower Credit in relevant programmes such as Environmental or Community Health.
Programme Duration and Fees
The full-time PGD WASH programme runs for one academic session (two semesters).
